Wall Split

A Wall split  is a modern way of heating or cooling a room efficiently with the inverter technology. It is one of the most efficient forms of heating on the market today.

The cost of a wall split  inverter system ranges from $1350.00 for a 2.5 kw dollars up to $3200.00 for a 8 kw. Installation costs are based on standard back to back.

Anything cheaper than $1500.00 just be very careful that it is an inverter wall split system. There are a lot of fixed speed wall split systems still on the market. The running costs of a fixed speed model are a lot higher than that of wall split inverter system.

A wall split system consists of 3 main components.

  •  The Condenser is the metal cabinet that is mounted outside of your home this part can either be mounted on the ground on plastic par blocks. The condenser can also be mounted on wall brackets. On the rare occasion condensers can be mounted of your roof. (be aware mounting on wall bracket and roof bracket will incur extra charges )
  • The indoor part of your wall split is know as the head unit which is connected to the condenser by insulated copper pipe. The indoor unit also has a drain connected to it which has to be run outside.
  • Remote control unit every split has one (below are the pictures of the 3 main  components)

Like any air conditioning system they all have there good points and bad. A wall split will heat and cool a single room very effectively. When the machine is sized correctly, it is also a good choice for people on a tight budget.

To heat or cool your whole home a Ducted reverse cycle air conditioning system would be a better choice.
